Sparkle Tots

This is the first time ReAnne going to a full day school.
We are very worried that she cannot get used to it.
Crying is expected but I just hope it wont be too long!

Sparkle Tots is just located under my mum's place.
So I can always go down and peek on her.
Make sure she is not crying!

Her "so call" classroom is located at the main bay.
Where the playgroup(which is Reina's class) is located and is also the place where they assemble for breakfast, lunch, snack and music/play time.

The 1st day I was with her. She was still OK but complain of tired and hungry in between.
But in school, she has to learn to follow the rules and schedules!

Her schedule in school:-
 8.30am - 9am  --------  Breakfast
9am - 9.30am -------- Circle time
9.30am - 10.45am --------- Class time
10.45am - 11.30am ---------- Lunch time
11.30am - 12.30pm -------- Class and takes turn bathing
12.30pm - 3.00pm  ---------- Drink milk and get ready for nap
3.00pm - 3.30pm ---------- snack time
3.30pm - 5.30pm ---------- Class time
5.30pm - 6pm -------- Story/ singing time with all the class

I'm so glad that she got another 2 sisters to go school together with her.
Hope that she can get used to it and have lots of fun in school!

Burger King Tour

ReAnne's 2nd school field trip is to Burger King.
She is all excited about making burger BUT what really really interest her is the Ice Cream!

She is in super good mood since morning so she's willing to pose for me!
**waiting for her friends to arrive**

As the group is too big, they are separated into 2.
For ReAnne's class, they start with their colouring competition first.

**This lady is ReAnne's Teacher, Mrs Ida**

After the competition, is our turn to tour around the kitchen.
They show how their staffs wash their hands and how to make a burger.
Is abit hot and cramp so the kids get pretty impatience.

Now is their turn to make a burger.
They distribute the ingredients 1 by 1.
Bread, patty, cheese and tomato sauce.
So all the kids need to do is just put it on their bread.
Some of the kids cannot wait for the patty or cheese, they already finish up the bread!

Finally is the eating time.
They heat up the burger for them and gave them a small pack of french fries.
Who can resist fries? Certainly not ReAnne

**Enjoying her own burger, fries and her favourite ice cream**

After their lunch, they start to give them a Kitchen Tour Certificate.

Last but not least, a group photo to end the field trip.

ReAnne really enjoyed the field trip.
We are looking forward for more!

Introducing Discovery Center

Since end of last year, we have been seriously looking around for a playgroup school for ReAnne.

We went to a few schools and went for a few trials and I'm glad that we finally decided and confirm on this school call Discovery Center.

Discovery Center is a Montessori School. Most of the students there are foreigners so language wise is so much better as they will only speak English.

*Some photos of the school**

**Some photos of reanne playing in school**

For Pre-school program, their schedule is like the following:-

8.30-9.00am Outside playtime

ReAnne get to play her favourite car or even go to the front yard and play swing or slide

9.00 - 9.10am Circle Time

They will gather in the gym room and sing songs together

9.10 - 9.30 1st group activity

Mon,wed and Fri is cooking day which the school will let the children do their own cooking for their snack. Like make their own donuts, cut carrots or fruits, spread jam on their breads and etc.

9.30 - 10.3o Learning Center Time

At this time, the students are free to do anything they want.

They can stay at the main hall and do all sort of different kind of puzzles and educational toys.

or go to the library room and read story books or play with the computers

or go the activity area where they can do painting or life practical activities like pouring water, scoop balls, lacing and etc

or go to the gym room to play ball or simply roll around!

All the different stations have different teachers in charge, so they will actually note down whoever came to their station to play and how they fare! And those who never go to their station, they will ask them over to do their activities!

10.30 Snack time

Which is also ReAnne's favourite time!!

Her teacher told me ReAnne is always one of the few who will sit at the chair to wait for her food but she is also the slowest in eating!

I actually thought she eat very fast but 一山还有一山高

10.45 Group Activity

They will either dance and sing, do art & Craft, read story books or etc

11.15 - 11.30 Outside Playtime

Another thing we like about this school is that they gave us a very homely feeling!

Whenever we step into the school, everybody will greet us happily and are able to say Reanne's name. A few days ago, ReAnne got a nose bleed in school, the next day when we went for school, some of the teachers even thought is different class teacher also know she bleed and ask me how is she.

Summer Break

As ReAnne is 18th Mths now, we actually thought that is time to enrol her to school.

Let her be more independent and can learnt something from school.

Maybe just 2-3 hours in school without Mummy.

And lastly Mummy can have some breather!

So I brought her to this school call Tutor Time for a trial.

This school is recommended so we actually got quite high expectation for it.

**ReAnne looking all ready for class**

The Class suppose to start at 8.30am.

But when we are there, only a few students reach.

So is actually free play for the students while waiting for the rest.

Is pretty chaos in the morning, as there are kids crying and teachers trying to sother them while looking after the rest.

My little princess actually was not affected by them as she got her mummy around playing with her.

(The teacher too busy to play with her)

** ReAnne keeping her balls getting ready for playground**

By 9am, the teachers start to bring the kids to the playground. Which actually is just outside their classroom! Very convinence!

The kids just walk out and play on their own. While the teacher still coax 2-3 kids who are still crying. (Apparently 1 of the kids who is the youngest of them all cried almost the whole 3hrs)

As for ReAnne, she stand there and observe the kids for quite some time before she decided to pull me along to join them.

After about 30-45mins, the teachers brought the kids to the music room.

Where they will play with some music instruments and sing songs.

(2-3 kids start to cry as they don't want to leave the playground)

After 20mins of music session, we walked down to the classroom and teacher brought the kids to wash their hands and get ready for snacks.

**ReAnne waiting for her snacks**

This girl really no shy, keep having 2,3 or even 4th helping of cakes!!

The rest of the kids all pretty quiet only ReAnne keep shouting "I want more!! I want more!!"

(Don't know whether to laugh or hide myself!!)

A blur look of the classroom

After snacks, the teacher will bring the kids to go wash hand.

And then the kids will stay at the play area and play themselves while 1 of the teacher will start to change diaper and clothes for the kids.

For this, they are really particular and careful on the cleanliness after each kid. Which is something and only thing I like!!

After the long diaper changing, is finally art and craft time.

They prepared a paper ball. So the teacher will put some glue on it and let the kids paste some ribbon and foil on it.

**ReAnne's creation**

After Art & Crafts, is hand washing again and getting ready for 2nd snacks!

And then is goodbye song .

Basically, I feel is pretty useless to send ReAnne to this school.

There are no group activities, no story time and the kids are just playing on their own!!

So is really a child care center! Where there are people to look after the kids for the parents.

Moreover, I see the youngest kid cried almost the whole day, I cannot imagine or bear my princess to go through that.

So till I find something really good for her, I shall keep her with me!!
