Saturday Night Movie

Last night, dear and I stayed at home and watched a movie that made me cry for 10mins.....20 mins...........alright.....almost 30mins !!
It mean really ages since I cried over a movie?! This movie is not those Super sad Korean or Taiwan shows where someone either die or couples just cannot be together. But is a very touching show about this Labrador Retriever, Marley. This movie is about how this hyperactive handful dog turned into an indispensable part of the family.

It really made me think of our childhood dog, TB. I still can remember the day we are sending him off to another house. In the car, I can see tears in his eyes. (*sobsob*)。

A very nice movie, so do go watch it if you haven watch it.

Lastly I will quote some sentenses from the movie that I pretty like it,

"A dog has no use for fancy cars..or big homes or designers clothes.

A waterlogged stick will do just fine!.

A dog doesn't care if you are rich or poor,

clever or dull, smart or dumb.

Give them your heart and he'll give you his.

How many people can say that about?

How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special?

How many people can make you feel extraordinary?"

Thats why “狗永远是人类最好的朋友!”

My Macarons failed!! With no Legs aka skirts and it crack on the surface!!
我不会认输的。失败那是成功之母!再接再厉,我会成功的!

Pasar

Today is a Sunday but we wake up at 6am in morning to go to Pasar aka Wet Market. We have been wanting to go Pluit, a chinese town's market. As we heard the food here are pretty cheap compare to those we buy in supermarket or range market. And the most important thing is, is very difficult to buy pork here.

Before we reached there, we saw this guy pushing his cart with full of vegetables. This guy will normally buy alot of vegetables and push his cart all the way to Apartments, Condors and even along the streets to sell to other people like maids.

Once we reached there, then we know this School alike building is the market! A very big market with super lot of people so early on a Sunday Morning

Quite amazed by their market, still can consider quite neat but then not as good as ours. Their fish is at one side, meat at one side and all the veggetables together. So we do not need to walk here and there to look at the food!

** Ya! This fat aunty is me!! **
As we are walking back, i saw this brown cages outside the pasar.
After looking at it closer, is live chickens that are kept in there. They kill the chickens there as well!! Yucks!! So we did not buy any chickens there as my Pro "Chickens" Expert say is better to buy chickens from supermarket as they usually will have QC before! Better then those sell here!

Isn't that fantastic!! I will say it is.
Susan Boyle is an 47 years old, unemployed old lady who is not married and so call not been kiss before. But she sings very well. The song she sang is from Les Miserables. A beautiful song sung by a beautiful voice!

Hilarious Encounter at HK

During one of the days where both of us are walking around HK streets, we saw like 3 Fire Engines, 1 Ambulance and some police cars drive past us. Thinking there must be some fire or some big thing happening around us.

As we walked to 1 of the streets, we saw many people gathering at a street. As both of us are pretty bo liao and kpo, we stayed and joined in the "Fun".

Initially, we thought is the bamboo that they used to climb up to maintain the house has collapse, but after awhile we realise we are looking at the wrong thing!?!

Everybody is pointing at this particular house and the owners even draw all the curtains.

After a few minutes, reporters and camera men from the news came.

Both of us are thinking it must be really a big thing!
Is the police catching some robbers? Someone trying to commit suicide? Or maybe some famous people having an affairs up there?

And after some time, this is what we saw

So all this big hoo ha is because of this stupid gun!! Following is what i assume!

The little boy at home must have drop his gun out to the neighbour aircon while playing. Maybe his father is trying to help him to retrieve and some people actually report to the police! That will explain why the ambulance and fire engines are here. But i still don't understand why they need so many fire engines. Oh well, i think they way they work are just so different from us bah.

Short Getaway for the long weekends

There is a super long weekend over at Jkt so Alfred and I actually planned to go Bali BUT due to some "Issues" i need to get my butt out of JKT we changed our plan last min to somewhere else. I never buy any ticket so last min as in the night before at 9pm and got to fly there the very next morning!
So where we go?? Make a guess with the pictures below!
** Signage **

** Signages **** And more Signages **

Yes!! We went to Hongkong again!

Since my MIL is going there with his 2nd sister's family to visit their eldest uncle (who migrate there long ago), we decided to join them! The weather is very cooling so not too bad, better then the hot weather over at JKT!

This time round we stayed in Prudential Hotel. We are very worried that the hotel will be another shabby one which we stayed a few years back! That hotel is really an experience! Imagine the toilet is just my whole arms big and both of us have to walk in a "Crab Style" together in the only pathway we have in the room!!

Lucky this hotel is not too bad and the price is pretty ok!

** Dear walking to our room with his fingers cross **
** Our Hotel Room **

All the shops in HK are big! Even their branded goods like LV, Gucci, Chanel and etc are so so big.

But the only things there are small are their flats!!

Their flats are so tall and squeecy!!

** The 2 gals who have so much fun and presents during this trip **

** They really enjoyed the cool weather! They are singing while walking to the restaurant for lunch **In HK, the place that you cannot missed is the Peak! The Peak is the highest mountain on HK island where overlook the whole city of HK. And is the place where most of the actress, actors and rich people stayed. Is very pretty especially if you are there at night! Since 2nd sis they all never been there before so we went up the peak with them.
Last time when hub and i went, we do not need to pay to go out to the viewing area but now HK government has realise that they can actually earn quite alot to charge people!!
The Peak Tram is another thing that you got to try. As the queue is always so long, i never try that in our last trip. Luckily, this time round, by the time we are going down the peak is already 10+pm so the queue is so short so to save the time to take the cab and going round and round down, we took the shortest way!

** See how happy everyone is!! **

On my birthday, both of us are already very tired from all the walking for the past 2 days that we don't even want to walk anymore.
Believe me, our legs are so pain they don't feel like ours anymore. Hub even requested to take bus back to our hotel which is like 2 bus stop away. =p

Is just so weird, when we don't want to eat Japanese food, i saw so many Japanese restaurants but when we wanted to eat, they just disappeared!! After walking 1 hours plus, we finally found this restaurant which got quite alot of people in there so decided to go in and rest our "Kelian" legs. If you have been to HK, you will know this 2 particular brand,周大富and 周生生. They are everywhere in HK. And i manage to get one of their product back too.

This is a wedding gift from hub's 1st Uncle and Aunty who did not turn up for our wedding. According to them, if you want to buy gold must go 周生生 and diamonds must go 周大富. The gold here are very fine. Even the color of their gold is so different from those gold you find in Singapore. No wonder his aunty will always go HK to buy gold!

Thats all for our HK trip, but stayed tune for the next post as i'm going to post 1 hilarious story we encountered in HK.

Sedap Malam

Sorry for not blogging lately! My hub has been having on/off diarrhoea these few days so have been eating porridge. Never cook much so nothing to blog! keekee
Oh well, now i will like to introduce "Sure Must" Eat place over at Jakarta! And that is Sedap Malam.
This place sells lots of seafoods! Went there twice and still have to say, the food is very nice!!
Hub and I went there for dinner one of the days and we ordered a Black Pepper Crabs, Sambal Fried Bringals and a Deep fried fish with sauce. Of cos not to forget a coconut drink.

Altogether about 40 bucks! But the sad thing is, we cannot order alot for just 2 people. So we decide to go there eat only when they are more people. In this case, we won't eat until so full!

So now you know where i will be bringing u all for dinner if you all are coming to Jakarta to visit us!! kee...

**P/s: Oh but i'm sure my bali seafood dinner at the beach will be much much much better than this...wahahaha..... Hub and I already decided what to order already!!**

Method:
Pre-heat oven to 180degC (350 degF).

Sieve together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl. Mix in the chocolate chips. Set aside.
Peel the bananas and mash with a fork in a bowl. Add in brown sugar, egg, milk and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients.
With a wooden spoon or a spatula, gently fold all the ingredients to form a wet batter. Stir gently, using only a few strokes and mix until the flour are incorporate into the batter. DO NOT Over mix. The batter should appear lumpy.
Spoon batter into paper muffin cases. Bake for 20mins until muffins turn golden brown or a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Let cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or cold.
